NEWS LETTER No.2: REPORT ON CHAIL CAMP, HIMACHAL PRADESH
Derabassi Church is finacially supporting Home called 'Gift of God' which is located in village near tourist town Chail in Himachal Pradesh. It has 18 children, youngest boy is 8 years old and the eldest is 17 years. Pastor Umesh Kumar is the full time incharge of this home. Mostly children are from Uttar Pradesh and Madya Pradesh. There are two young adult girls, daughters of a care taker of the home. Their mother cooks food in the kitchen.
I alongwith Pastor Vinay Mathews vsited Home on 29 December 2022. We went by road traversing mendearing roads. It takes about four hours to reach there. Weather was foggy, cold being month of December. Probably it may start snowing in coming week. We visited the living accomodation of children. Nicely kept. Children were happy being their first day of winter holidays.

Next phase was gathering of Children for Christmas story, loving told to them by Col Masssey. They liked and understood. They also sung hymns and Christian songs. Girls also danced. They were jubiliant. It made nice atmosphere out of nothing.Home incharga Pastor. Umesh played Guitar as well as Vinay gave beats on the table. Thus the Lord Jesus Christ was glorified.

We had given gifts to young children duly packed in gift wrappers. Tey liked traditinal Christmas Cakes which is the hall mark of Derabassi Church. We get it baked in local bakery, I may add prepared according to our taste buds. Thus we enjoyed fwllowship lunch and ended with Indian sweets.

I personally interacted with each boy. Some of them will proceedto teir respective homes. Pastor Umesh will also go to his native place children will accompany him.
